Other Therapies
Other evidence-based therapies offered are Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
Schema Therapy focuses on identifying long‑standing patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating, known as schemas, that develop from early life experiences and continue to shape current behaviour; therapy helps clients recognise these patterns and build healthier, more adaptive ways of meeting their emotional needs.
ACT supports clients in developing psychological flexibility by learning to step back from unhelpful thoughts, make room for difficult emotions, and take action guided by personal values rather than avoidance or struggle.
CFT helps clients cultivate a kinder, more supportive inner stance, particularly when shame, self‑criticism, or threat‑based responses dominate; it draws on evolutionary psychology and compassion practices to strengthen emotional regulation and a sense of safeness.
